BDC team will attend FOSS4G 2021’s Indigenous Hackathon by GEO

On October 1-2, 2021, the BDC team will attend the Indigenous Hackathon by the Group on Earth Observations (GEO). A hackathon by and for Indigenous communities, at FOSS4G (Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial) 2021 conference. The FOSS4G conference is the premier international event dedicated to presenting new developments in open-source software for geospatial data applications.

The BDC team will introduce the BDC project on October 1, at 14:00 (Buenos Aires time). This presentation is about Land Use/Land Cover change detection using BDC’s data cubes and sits, an open-source R-package for analysis of time series of satellite images.

The workshop will show how to classify time series of Earth observation data using machine learning and data cubes and it’ll include a demonstration.

The hack is free and open to all, you can register here.
